Acadia National Park is a coastal national park in the state of Maine, in the northeastern United States, where rocky shores, forests, and low mountains come together. With sea cliffs battered by the waves of the Atlantic and quiet woodland trails side by side, it is a place many people love to visit.

Acadia’s protection began on July 8, 1916, and it has since preserved the outstanding natural beauty of the eastern coast. It has long been cherished as one of the foremost coastal national parks in the eastern United States.
